WCS Meal Distribution

NEW MEAL DISTRIBUTION SCHEDULE

Meal distribution will remain open to the community at Fillmore Educational Center and Carleton Middle School until 5 pm

  • Wednesday, March 7
    ELEMENTARY IN-PERSON/HYBRID
    • Location: Fillmore Educational Center (8655 Irving Drive, Sterling Heights)
    • Distribution times: 7 am—5 pm
    • Five breakfasts and five lunches are available for pick-up at Fillmore Elementary for those students not receiving meals at school.
    • Student identification is required.

  • MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL IN-PERSON/HYBRID
    • Locations: Beer, Carter, Carleton, Grissom, Cousino, Sterling Heights High, and Warren Mott
    • Please note: 
      • Middle Schools - Drive up to the gym doors
      • High Schools - Walk into the building and staff will direct you where to go
    • Distribution times: 7 am—1 pm
    • Five breakfasts and three lunches available for pick-up at the locations listed above for students attending in-person learning and receiving lunch twice-a-week in school.
    • Student identification is required.

  • VIRTUAL STUDENTS
    • Location: Fillmore Educational Center (8655 Irving Drive, Sterling Heights)
    • Distribution times: 7 am—5 pm
    • Five breakfasts and five lunches are available for pick-up at Fillmore Elementary for those students not receiving meals at school.
    • Student identification is required.

    The USDA extended waivers to allow for children 18 and younger to free meals until the end of the school year or while funding is available.

    We highly encourage each family to complete a free/reduced lunch application. The information gathered from these applications may qualify your family for additional benefits from the State of Michigan and internet providers. Applications can be completed at www.lunchapp.com.


Best Food Forward Mobile Food Pantry

The mobile pantry provides fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grain items, lean protein, milk, and other shelf-stable grocery items to families in the community.
Local stops include:

  • Siersma Elementary: Monday, March 8- 1:30-2:30pm
  • Beer Middle School: Tuesday, March 9- 8:45-9:45am
  • Pearl Lean Elementary: Tuesday, March 16- 10:00-11:00am
