South Asian Association

The South Asian Association is being created to bring awareness and appreciation to the variety of rich cultures found in South Asia, this includes but is not limited to Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan; this is especially imperative given the fact that a large demographic of our school consists of south Asians. Our goal is to bring awareness to issues prevalent in these communities and incorporate the culture found in these regions into our student body. A core principle of our organization is to teach South Asian students about cultural practices and make them feel more connected to their heritage. One of the main events we hope to organize is an event where South Asian culture is put on display: this will include cultural attire, food, and dances, to celebrate our school's diversity.
