Hey there! My name is Tarek Rayshouny and I teach 5th grade here at Harwood. Teaching is a passion and seeing my students eyes light up when I teach is my fuel for that passion. My philosophy is easy, "Live, Laugh and Learn". These have been the traits that I've strived for to be a constant in my classroom and the way I try to approach each and everyday. I am going into my ninth year of teaching after graduating from Wayne State University. I also have a Masters in Educational Leadership from Saginaw Valley State University. I love to spend time with my family. I also enjoy reading and writing, athletics and working out. It is great to be working at a building filled with a team of cohesive professionals and supportive parents who are dedicated to ensure that all our children achieve success.

My name is Mrs. Siciliano and the 2010/2011 school year will be my eighth year teaching fifth grade at Harwood Elementary School. Harwood is a great school and I am very proud to be a part of such a wonderful community of students, parents, and staff. I really enjoy teaching fifth grade because of all the wonderful activities and events that we get to be a part of during the school year. I have to admit that my favorite has to be going away to fifth grade camp in May. It is such a great experience for all involved. I attended Oakland University where I graduated and received my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education in December of 2002. I completed my student teaching experience at Harwood Elementary and was thrilled to obtain a teaching position shortly after graduating. I cannot think of a better place to work. I completed my Master's Degree in Integrating Technology in the Classroom from Walden University. I am currently continuing my education by taking classes in mathematics, reading instruction, and technology. I love finding new ways to incorporate my newfound technology skills into my classroom. I grew up in Warren, Michigan and attended Green Acres Elementary School, Fuhrmann Middle School, and Warren Mott High School. My husband and I met in high school and were married in July, 2004. My husband is a mechanical engineer for Continental Automotive. We currently have no children or pets. We enjoy working on our house and spending time with our friends and family. I love the fact that I am now able to give back to the school district that had a part in my education. |
