During the 2004-05 academic school year, the seventh graders engaged in an historical writing project, producing a self-published Literature Work Booklet, ‘The Unfolding Minds Of Seventh Grade Writers.’ The 373 page work booklet features prominent artists Phoebe Beasley painting ‘Block Party,’ and Simon Samsonian valuable painting ‘Violoncellist.’

The work booklet has over 50 engaging writing worksheets and activities for the reader, including a multitude of genres. It is available for public viewing at the WCS Middle Schools; Warren, Troy and Sterling Heights public libraries. So make sure you CHECK it out today.

In 2006-07, The Book Club created a web page to help promote and enhance the reading and writing skills of their peers. For the 2007-08 academic year, we have expanded our horizons, and have included the 8th graders, who also created a web page in Health Education and Language Arts, to promote healthy decision making, and enhance the reading and writing skills. In doing so, they created three (3) Health Booklets that include 14 volumes. All three books are on line. Several 8th grade articles are also on line.
