Collaborative Mission Statement

The caring and dedicated staff of Cromie Elementary School, in partnership with our parents and community, will provide positive learning experiences to help students acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to become lifelong learners and civically responsible citizens eager to embrace the continuously evolving future.

Shared Vision

The vision of Cromie Elementary School is to ensure the success of all students and staff in the learning community through a unified commitment to learning and achieving our personal best.

Collective Commitment

We will promote a safe, caring and productive environment, based on Lifelong Guidelines and Life Skills so that the atmosphere throughout the school community promotes teaching and learning.

Our instruction will be based on a curriculum that is aligned to the Grade Level Content Expectations and Standards and Benchmarks of the Michigan Curriculum Framework, and focused on quality learning, clear expectations, technology integration, differentiated instruction and meaningful assessment.

We will work in a Professional Learning Community which fosters collaboration and open communication among grade level teams, across all grade levels and with special subject and support staff, serving to promote high student achievement.

We will make connections between real world experiences and our teaching so that students can apply the skills they learning in our classrooms.

We will establish collaboration between our students, parents, staff and community through ongoing communications of progress toward student success.

Essential Outcomes

The essential outcomes (essential skills) for all students are indicated in each PLC team’s SMART goal strategies for achievement. These outcomes or skills will vary and are specific to the new SMART goals as they are developed.
