September

Kids are asked to seek pledges from family & friends based on # of times walk, run or jog around the school for 30 minutes. Afterward the kids receive a cooling treat. All Participants receive a prize as do top collections.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: parents needed the day of event to observe kids as they perform the run and also to hand out prizes, treats, etc.

Profit based on number of participants. THIS IS OUR MAIN FUNDRAISER FOR THE YEAR. LOOK FOR FULL PARTICIPATION.100% profit minus expenses for prizes, etc. Last year our main fundraiser was Frankenmuth. PTC netted approx. $12,000

 

MARKET DAY

Monthly (Sept. – June)

Frozen “bulk” food program may be ordered each month via order form or e-mail. Pick up at Cromie each month.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Help is needed to unpack and sort orders on the afternoon of delivery date. The more help volunteered the easier the tasks.

Earns 10-20% from total orders that month. Add’l profits earned with various promotions throughout the year.

 

LITTLE CAESAR PIZZA KITS

Fall

Spring dates to be determined

Variety of frozen pizza kits and bread sticks. Pick up at Cromie on scheduled date.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Help is needed to unpack and sort orders on the afternoon of delivery date. The more help volunteered the easier the tasks.

$5.00 for each kit sold. All 4th & 5th graders that participate in this fundraiser can have their profit put towards their Camp Storer week.

Back by popular demand. Sweet treat of cookie dough tubs.

SCRIP

 

SCRIP is the purchase of select gift certificates which can be used as cash for your own purposes or as gifts for family friends, teachers, etc. Stores such as Kmart, JC Penney, Toys R Us, Barnes & Noble, Shell Oil, Mobil Oil and more. SCRIP requires planning a head for self and gift giving purchases.

Profit depends on retailer and amounts purchased. Can be as much as 25%. Increments purchases also vary by retailer.

 

GORDON FOOD SERVICE

All year

GFS (Gordon’s) is similar to a Sam’s club, but is geared more toward cafeteria and restaurant supplies. Food and party supplies are purchased in bulk.

Earn from 1-15% depending on the number of families who purchase each month.

When applying for card(s) identify Cromie as school funds to be forwarded to.

Target Store Card – 1% of purchases

Target Visa Card – ½ % for non Target purchases, 1/2% for Target purchases

 

TOYS R US NIGHT

Late Nov. / early Dec.

Toys R Us stays open late for Cromie parents/grandparents, etc. to shop for holidays.

3% of all purchases made by Cromie go to PTC.

 

BOWLING NIGHT

Feb/March

Adult night of fun, 50/50 raffles, tin can raffles, etc.

Profits are made through a portion of the entry fee, raffles, and any donations made.

 

ECKERT NURSERY

Spring

$25.00 gift certificates for Eckert’s Nursery located on Ryan, just north of 14 mile

$5.00 (20%) from each gift certificate sold goes to PTC. Gift certificates can be purchased anytime, but a spring sale will be held

 

Meijer Community Rewards

All Year

Earn cash rewards by using your Meijer Credit Card or your Meijer Community Rewards Card

Profits can be up to 4% and are based on purchases made.

 

KROGER GIFT CARD

All Year

Gift Card program. Cards can be “recharged” at any Kroger store.

Cromie P.T.C. Membership Drive Information

All fundraisers and events have folders with information describing how the event/fundraiser was prepared and completed. This information aids in helping the volunteers by providing a guideline for the volunteer to follow thus ensuring the volunteer never "goes it alone."

Bowling Fundraiser help coordinate, set up and run adult only event

Evenings usually on a Friday in Feb/Mar. Best to start planning early in the school year. Co-chair needed, plus many volunteers

 

Box tops for education – collected from office on a regular basis. Sent in to collect funds as needed

D.A.R.E. Drug Abuse Resistance Education – work with Officer Muller of the Warren P.D. Volunteers need to order gifts for 5th graders, organize graduation, snacks, etc.

One evening in November – usually a non-5th grade parent. Need to start early in the school year to plan for this event.

 

Family Festival - games, prizes, food, moon walk. Will be held Oct. 21, 2005

Being held October 21st. In need of co-chairs, and human resources night of event

 

Field Day organized with physical education teacher and volunteers engaging students in a ½ day of outdoor activities

½ day (afternoon) in the Spring near year-end. Work with P.E. teacher to organize event.

 

5th Grade Farewell – 5th graders gather for lunch, yearbook signing, play games

During an afternoon in June. Early pre-planning is helpful. Action planning should start in Jan/Feb.

 

Fun Run Main fundraiser – supports majority of budget for year. Kids solicit for donations for # of laps around designated area

To be held the afternoon of September 23rd. Need lots of help day of event.

 

Games Night - work with Learning Gizmo’s to set up a date for kids and parents to have fun playing games

Health Council Representative liaison at monthly district health council meetings. Representatives share information at monthly PTC meetings

Holiday Shop – store set up for students to purchase low priced items for holiday gifts. Volunteers are needed to set up, help students and wrap their purchases

December 7th, 8th & 9th. Morning and afternoon shop hours. Set up in the evening

 

Ice Cream Social in conjunction with Cromie’s open house. Teachers and parents serve ice cream sundaes. Coordination of helpers and supplies are needed

Police Dept. Liaison – Coordinate collection of goods for our local PD to thank them for their support of our Cromie community

Usually done just before Christmas and Easter break.

 

Red Ribbon Week volunteers plan and assist the staff with activities designed to create awareness concerning the problems related to the use of tobacco, alcohol, drugs and violence.

Tyson Rewards Tyson will give Cromie .24 for every label turned in. Kind of like Box Tops.    

Window Painting – decorate school windows, designing and painting

Usually done seasonally in the evenings. A FUN project.

 

Yearbook need to coordinate picture taking at school events during day and night. Then help design and put pages together for the year book

Vendor Show/Cromie Business Directory - A directory will be put together for Cromie families and friends. From this we are looking into a vendor show for anyone interested in promoting their business to Cromie family and friends.

Soliciting Cromie families & friends who have home businesses they’d like to advertise for a nominal fee.

 

I can help from home putting things together, making phone calls, cutting, typing, etc.
