Visual Imaging and Print Technology I

The class is geared towards students who wish to gain more knowledge in graphic communications and printing careers. In this class we provide the foundational skills in communication and team building. By using professional grade software, such as Adobe Creative suite, students will be introduced to concepts and applications required for this "Information Age," with focus on animation, vector graphics, graphic layouts, and printing techniques. Valuable hands-on experience will give students the knowledge needed to build and maintain their very own performance portfolio and give them insight into the many careers in the industry.Academic credits: 2 elective credits, Math Relater I - 1 credit. VIsual, Performing, Applied Arts - 1 credit


Visual Imaging and Print Technology II

Students will have in depth hands on experience with actual clients and be expected to meet deadlines. They will work with the printing press and produce an annual Career Prep Center yearbook. Students will produce vinyl graphics and complete a portfolio, a valuable tool for college or obtaining an entry-level position in industry. There is intensified concentration into the specific career pathways in the visual imaging and printing careers.Academic credits: 2 elective credits, Math Related II - 1 credit.
