Teacher Cadet
This course is designed to expose students to the many different learning styles of children, and to prepare them for many types of employment in the world of education. While operating a lab preschool program, the students gain knowledge and experience with lesson planning for different learning styles. Students work as members of teaching teams in planning activities to meet social, emotional, physical and cognitive needs of preschool children. Student learning encompasses early childhood theory through classroom management. This knowledge is applied by completing a case study profile on a particular child. A second semester internship will be completed at an alternate elementary school, middle school, or special education program.
