What do you learn in Psychology?

AP Psychology will introduce students to the systematic and scientific study of the behavior and mental process of human beings and other animals. Students are exposed to the psychological facts, principles, and phenomena associated with each of the major subfields within psychology. They also will learn about the methods psychologists use in their science and practice. The aim of the AP class is to provide students with a learning experience equivalent to that obtained in most college introductory psychology courses. Students will be encouraged to take the AP exam.

An honor point may be earned in this course.

Mrs. Oravec teaches by lecturing the class and having group discussions about the topic they are currently on. Current events revolved around Psychology are also a vital part about the class and students are encouraged to come to class every day with a current event to participate along with the rest of the students.
