"Professor Hart inspired me to become a mathematics teacher. We have kept in contact for more than 30 years. His guidance and friendship has given me the opportunity to work with so many individuals during my career as an educator. It is my hope that I will be able to provide you with the same inspiration and guidance. Sadly he lost his battle with cancer in January of 2015." - Yasso
What is your favorite part about teaching the class?
"My favorite part about teaching the class is working with the students and helping them expands their knowledge and understanding of higher order mathematics."
Any advice for future students?
"My advice for future students is when debating whether or not to enroll in this class need to be sure they have a very sound mathematical background, very good study habits, and great confidence in themselves. They will need all three to be successful. The most difficult thing to see is the frustration on the student’s faces that enroll in this class who are not ready. They are not aware of the rigor of the class and the commitment it takes to be successful, but don’t find that out until it’s too late."
If you could describe the class in one word, what would it be?
"The word I would use to describe this class for myself would be fulfilling. If I were using it to describe it for the students I would say enrichment."
