Sterling Heights VS Warren Woods Tower

Sterling Heights defeated Wwt 59-57 in a wild game down the finish! Sterling was up 19 early in the fourth quarter. TATYANA hardwick fouled out with 6 minutes left and wwt made a run. Cutting the lead to 2 with 35 seconds left. BRENNA Kassab and KATIE Schultz would hit huge free throws late to help seal the victory for the stallions and put them in the district finals vs Cousino Friday night. Leading performers for the stallions were BRENNA Kassab she had 20 points 5 rebounds, KATIE Schultz 17 points 8 rebounds 6 assists and 3 steals. And TATYANA hardwick who battled foul trouble finished with 13 points 11 rebounds and 3 blocks. District finals are 6 pm Friday night at Wwt. 

Sterling Heights VS Regina

Sterling Heights picked the best night to break a seven-game losing streak. The Stallions put together one of their best offensive nights of the season when they needed it most, beating Regina 61-50 in a Class A district quarterfinal at Warren Woods-Tower High School Monday. “This is huge,” Sterling Heights coach Dan Kreps said. “We ended the season with a seven-game losing streak. We weren’t playing good basketball. I told the girls before the game that this is the time where good things happen, and you make memories for your career. We did it tonight.” Sterling Heights started strong thanks to junior guard Katie Schultz, who scored nine points in the opening quarter, leading the Stallions to a 14-12 lead after eight minutes.

Hardwick grabbed 21 rebounds and had four blocked shots to go along with her 13 points. “There’s nobody as big as her and as relentless around the basket,” Kreps said. “She can clean up a lot of stuff, making me and her teammates look good. She’s just a hard worker. We get so many extra possessions because of her.” Tamia Everett and Aboona each finished with six points, with Everett grabbing 11 caroms, and Aboona contributing three assists and three steals. The win improved Sterling Heights’ record to 7-14 overall and moved the Stallions’ into Wednesday night’s district semifinal game against host Woods-Tower at 7 p.m. Regina was paced by Lueck with 13 points, while Arnone added 11 points, and Kozak finished with 10 points.

Sterling Heights VS Chippewa Valley

Stallions lost 56-42 Monday night in a Mac crossover game against Chippewa Valley. Sterling was lead by KATIE Schultz with 19 points BRENNA Kassab had 10 points and TATYANA hardwick had 8 points and 11 rebounds. Stallions play Romeo at home Thursday.

Sterling Heights VS Utica

Sterling Heights lost 48-43 to Utica Wednesday night. Leading the stallions was TATYANA hardwick she had another double double her 13th of the year she finished with 24 points and 21 rebounds (12 offensive). The stallions play at port Huron Friday night.

February 12th

Sterling Heights lost 64-54 Monday night vs Dakota. In the opening round of the MAC tournament. The stallions ended the first quarter up 14-7, but struggles in the 2 and 3rd quarters would do the stallions in. Dakota outscored Sterling 43-15 in the second and third combined. Leading the stallions were BRENNA Kassab she had 17 points, TATYANA hardwick had 15 points 12 rebounds 3 steals, Katie Schultz had 14 points and TAMIA Everett had 8 points 11 rebounds. Stallions next play at Utica Wednesday.

February 1st

Sterling Heights (6-9)(4-6) lost 42-34 to Utica (8-6)(7-3) Monday night. Leading the way for the stallions was TATYANA hardwick another double double with 10 points 19 rebounds and only playing about 3 quarters because of foul trouble. BRENNA Kassab has 11 points and 5 rebounds. KATIE Schultz had 7 points 4 assists. And TAMIA Everett had 6 points and 8 rebounds. The stallions will open up the MAC tournament Friday night at home vs Dakota.

Monday January 30

Sterling Heights 6-7 4-4 lost 60-40 to Utica 7-5 6-2. Top performers for the stallions BRENNA Kassab 16 points KATIE Schultz 9 points TATYANA hardwick 8 points 15 rebounds. Stallions next game is Thursday at port Huron

Friday January 26


The stallions (6-6)(4-3) held off Stevenson (5-9)(2-6) Friday night 40-34. Sterling held Stevenson to 9 points in the first half. Stevenson battled back to tie it up with 1 minute to go. Key free throw by SAMANTHA Wajeeh with 40 seconds gave the stallions a 1 point lead. ILONA aboona would add a 3 pointer with 20 seconds to seal the win for the stallions. Key performers for the stallions were KATIE Schultz with 10 points. BRENNA Kassab with 11 points 5 rebounds and TATYANA hardwick with 8 points 14 rebounds. The stallions next game is Tuesday at Utica.

Tuesday January 23


Sterling Heights (5-6)(3-3) defeated Ford(2-11)(1-6) 40-36 Tuesday night. Free throws from KATIE Schultz with seconds left secured the win for the Stallions. Big night for TATYANA hardwick she had a double double with 18 points 19 rebounds and 7 blocks. KATIE Schultz had 7 points and 6 assists. BRENNA Kassab had 13 points. Stallions next game is Friday at home vs Stevenson.

Tuesday January 12


The stallions were down 18 at the half but came out in the second half with energy and a didn’t attitude and outscored the Titans 25-7 in the 3rd quarter . The game was tied 38-38 going into the 4th quarter. It was back and forth until the end but in the end Danielle Lamoreaux made the first of a 1and 1 to make it a 4 point lead for Stevenson. The titans would win 56-52. Stallions are now 3-5 and 1-2 in the white. Stevenson is 4-5 and 1-2 in the white. Key players for the stallions were BRENNA Kassab she had 20 points, TAMIA Everett 11 points 7 rebounds, KATIE Schultz 13 points 5 rebounds 6 assists and TATYANA Hardwick had 6 points 11 rebounds. Stallions next game is Friday Jan 12 vs Utica at home.

Monday December 18


Stallions won a hard fought game Monday night 51-45 vs Ford. In a back and forth game big shots by BRENNA Kassab and KATIE Schultz gave the stallions the lead late in the 3rd quarter and the stallions held on through the fourth with key free throws from Kassab Hardwick Schultz and Pasinos. Leading the stallions were BRENNA Kassab with 23 points TATYANA hardwick with another double double she had 13 points 22 rebounds and 5 blocks Katie Schultz had 8 points and Astrid hurtado had 4 points. The win now puts the stallions record at 3-3 and 1-1 in the Mac white. The stallions last game of 2017 is Tuesday at Lakeview at 5:30. Come out and support your girls!!

Friday December 8


The stallions lost to Cousino on Friday night 44-38. Leading the stallions was TATYANA Hardwick she had 10 points and 21 rebounds. KATIE Schultz also had 10 points. The stallions next game is Tuesday at home vs Eisenhower at 7 pm. Come out and show your support!!

Tuesday December 5


Sterling Heights(2-1) lost in a Mac Red crossover game to Grosse Pointe North(2-0) 44-21. It was an offensive struggle for the stallions scoring only 8 points in the first half. Credit goes to GPN defense. Leading the stallions was Brenna Kassab with 11 points. The stallions next game is Friday at home vs Cousino.


Friday December 1


The stallions defeated WARREN Mott 52-16 in a crossover game Friday night. It was a total defensive effort for the stallions. The stallions held the marauders scoreless in the first quarter and gave up 7 in the first half. The stallions forced 15 turnovers. Leading the way for the marauders was Nia Nelson who had 7 points. The stallions were led by Katie Schultz she had 16 points 4 rebounds 4 assists and 5 steals, Tatyana Hardwick had another double double with 13 points 10 rebounds and 3 blocks and Brenna Kassab had 11 points 7 rebounds and 5 assists. The stallions are now 2-0 and play GPN at home on Tuesday. WARREN Mott falls to 0-2.

Tuesday November 28


Sterling Heights(1-0) defeated LCN(0-1) Tuesday night 51-37. The stallions got off to a slow start but put on the defensive pressure in the second half. Holding the Crusaders to 4 points in the 3rd quarter. The crusaders were led by Najah Speed who had 19 points. Leading the way for the stallions were Brenna Kassab with 21 points 3 assists and 4 steals, Katie Schultz with 14 points 4 assists and 3 steals and Tatyana Hardwick she had 12 points 14 rebounds and 3 blocks. The stallions next game is Friday at WARREN Mott.
