Game Highlights 2017-2018



The Sterling Heights JV boys basketball team traveled to Clintondale on Tuesday (1/23). It was a tight game for the first two quarters. The Stallions led 9-8 after the first quarter and 22-20 at the half. In the third quarter the Stallions started to pull away holding a six point lead, 35-29, heading into the final quarter. Sterling Heights came out strong in the fourth, getting up by as many as twenty points. The final score was 50-40. All ten players played and seven scored. Gjon Dedvukaj scored 14 points. Marcus Kakos added 11. Victor Rojas chipped in 6 points. Defensively the team played well with lots of steals that led to fast break points and shutting down Clintondale’s top players. The JV boys are now 5-5 overall and 4-2 in the division


The Sterling Heights boys basketball teams were back in action on Friday (1/26), hosting Warren Lincoln. The JV boys won their third game in a row beating the Abes 45-33. It was also the team’s fifth win in the last six meetings. The Stallions trailed 21-17 at the half but held Lincoln to one basket in the third quarter, out scoring them 18-2. That was the difference in the game. Gjon Dedvukaj was the high scorer for Sterling Heights with 21 points. Victor Roxas scored 8. The JV boys will have a chance to avenge their only loss in the last 6 games on Friday (2/2) when they host the South Lake Cavaliers.
