Avondale 79
SHHS is 2-1

On Tuesday, the Stallion Swimmers traveled to Auburn Hills and defeated the Avondale Yellow Jackets 86-79 in a hard-fought meet.  The Stallions took an early lead by coming from behind to win the 200 Medley Relay, and never looked back.  Nick Ciavone won the 200 IM and the 100 Backstroke, Darrin Pierce won the 200 and 500 Freestyle, and James Pierce won the 50 freestyle.  Overall, the Stallions had 11 season best times.  Our final meet of 2017 is on Tuesday the 19th against district rivals Cousino here at SHHS.

SHHS 57
Marine City 122

In the MAC Silver opener, SHHS lost a tough meet to Marine City 122-57. The score was not an indication of how well the Stallions swam, they had 17 season best times, and were led by Matt Timny, who won the only race for the Stallions (the 100 Fly) and qualified for the Macomb County Meet in the 100 Fly and the 100 Breaststroke. Nick Ciavone also qualified for the County meet in the 500, and great swims were turned in by Darrin Pierce’s personal best in the 500 Free (dropped 5 more seconds) and Bannon O’Brien’s first career 100 Backstroke. Nice job, guys! Our next meet is against South Lake in the pool.

SHHS 93
