CPC student honored

Career Preparation Center student Jalyn Chirco received the Michigan 2017 Breaking Traditions Merit Award. This prestigious award is given to Career and Technical Education (CTE) students who have selected specific Career and Technical training because of their interests and abilities and did not allow gender to influence their decision to prepare for a career considered nontraditional for that gender. A formal presentation of the award will take place in May at the Forum at the Library of Michigan in Lansing. Jalyn, also a student at Cousino High School, was nominated by her Biomedical Engineering Instructor Richard Swords.
